We could not be more excited to have Nicole Jackson as our very first Meet-a-Mom feature for the Frisco Area Moms.
Funny enough, Mykie and Nicole actually went to high school together in Oklahoma and have been friends for over 15 years (are we that old now??).
Nicole was always the most kind, sweet, smart and generous person in every room even back in high school, and some things absolutely never change!
She is truly a gem of a person who’s found here passion and purpose in Chiropractor-y (did I just make up that term?).
Is there anything better than seeing someone with a fire burning in their heart because they’re doing what they were truly meant to do – and, helping people while they do?
Nicole is a beautiful momma of the cutest little boy named Otto, she’s a family chiropractor who runs her own Chiropractic and Holistic Health practice called Grounded Wellness in Frisco – and, she specializes in pregnant women, babies and children.
Get to know one of our favorite people, our friend Nicole below – and absolutely go see here at Grounded Wellness!
XO – M&M
- How many kids do you have and what are their ages?
I have a 9 month old son, his name is Otto.
- How did you end up in Frisco?
My husband and I were born and raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma. After both attending and graduating from Oklahoma State University, we moved here so I could attend chiropractic school at Parker University in Dallas.
- What do you love about Frisco?
I love how family oriented Frisco is! The people are kind and Frisco definitely has a great vibe! It’s an ideal location as far as the Dallas metroplex goes, making it easy to get to other suburbs quickly.
- What’s your favorite restaurant in Frisco?
That’s a tough one! I can’t pick just one. Some of our very favorites are UP Inspired Kitchen, the NEST, Heritage Table and eight11 place.
- What’s your favorite place to shop in Frisco?
Nordstrom at Stonebriar Mall is typically my go-to!
- What’s your favorite thing to do when you need some alone time?
These days, I love taking Otto and our dog out for long walks or jogs while listening to a book on tape.
- Tell us about your career.
I’m a family chiropractor and owner of Grounded Wellness here in Frisco. I serve the whole family and also specialize in caring for pregnant women.
- What do you love about your career?
I became a chiropractor because I love helping people work towards living a healthier lifestyle. What I didn’t realize was how much my career would allow me to build friendships with my practice members that will last a lifetime. I look forward to going into my office because I truly enjoy my tribe and what I do. Helping others fills my cup and I’m very thankful that my practice members trust me to care for them and their families.
- What is one thing you look forward to every year?
There’s nothing like a new year to set new goals. Instead of a resolution, we should focus on small but long lasting positive changes that put us on a steady path to stay as healthy as we can for the longevity of our lifetime. Starting a new year is exciting because there’s so much time to accomplish things and we get a fresh new year to do so!
- How do you juggle your career with being a mom and wife?
When I was pregnant, I found a group that focused on building a work schedule that’s right for you. For me that currently looks like working in the office 2 days a week and staying at home with my son the rest of the week. Had I not found this group, I wouldn’t have had the confidence to open my own practice or create the hours that fit best for my family right now.
- What’s the best piece of advice you’ve gotten from another mom?
The best advice I’ve gotten is to remember that everything you go through is only for a season; nothing lasts forever. Do your best to enjoy and savor each moment!
- What’s one fun fact about you? I am an enneagram 2 🙂
